About
Mathieu Alvado
Composer for film, television and video games.
Recent projects include the Netflix animated series Astérix & Obélix: The Big Fight, the video game Empire of the Ants, the film Tempête by Édouard Salier and the forthcoming adventure series The Emperor’s Stone. He also composed the score for the animated film Lovebirds, due for release in 2027.
After earning six first prizes at the Bordeaux Conservatory, Mathieu Alvado continued his studies at the Paris Conservatoire (CNSMDP), where he won three prizes in harmony, counterpoint and fugue.
His work as an orchestrator and conductor extends his work as a composer. He has collaborated with Pierre Adenot (La Belle et la Bête), Guillaume Roussel (Les Trois Mousquetaires, Chien 51) and Erwann Kermorvant (Overdose, Carbone), and with Christophe Héral as an arranger (Les Aventures de Tintin : Le Secret de la Licorne, Rayman Legends).
He has recorded and conducted several ensembles, including the London Symphony Orchestra, the Philharmonia Orchestra, the Paris Scoring Orchestra and the Deutsches Filmorchester Babelsberg. These sessions have taken him to London’s AIR and Abbey Road studios, as well as to Babelsberg in Berlin.
